Students receive individual piano instruction that is tailored to each student based on their age, skill level, and musical interests.

As a member of GMMTA (Greater Marietta Music Teachers’ Association) students have the opportunity to participate in GMMTA events which take place during the year.  We also have a minimum of two studio performance events during the Music Studio year.

My goal is to provide each student with a music education and the encouragement, inspiration, and knowledge that will enable that student to reach his or her highest potential.  Most importantly I would like my students to develop a love a music and a joy in making music that will fulfill them throughout their life.   

Studio Schedule – Lessons will be scheduled on Wednesdays and Thursdays. 

First Day of Lessons – Wednesday, August 9, 2023

Fall Break – September 25, 2023 – September 29, 2023

Thanksgiving Holidays – November 20, 2023 – November 24, 2023

Winter Holidays – December 20, 2023 – January 9, 2024

Lessons resume – Wednesday, January 10, 2024

Mid-Winter Break – February 19, 2024 – February 23, 2024

Spring Break – April 1, 2023 – April 5, 2024

Last Day of Lessons – May 16, 2024 

LESSON SCHEDULE/FEES 

School Term (34 Lessons) – The School Term begins Wednesday, August 9, 2023, and ends Thursday, May 16, 2024.  Students generally receive one lesson each week or a group lesson (one or two group lessons during the year) 

Registration Fee – The registration fee (non-refundable) is $55 per student/maximum $110 per family.  This fee is due when registering for lessons and secures a student’s place in the fall schedule.  This fee also covers studio recitals which occur during the year. 

Music/Materials Fee – The music/materials fee is $50/student. Music books, online music and studio licensed music is purchased for your child. 

Lesson Tuition – Besides the weekly lesson, tuition includes planning time for each student, preparation for lessons, choosing music for each student, organizing programs, recitals, enrollment in festivals and events during the school year.  Tuition remains the same month to month, regardless of the number of lessons. Zelle (770-401-4828), Apple Pay and Venmo@Pam-Barksdale are accepted. 

Tuition Payment Options 

   Monthly – August – May 

*Quarterly – August, October, January, and March ($5 discount each payment) 

**Biannually – August, January ($10 discount each payment)   

Note: Lessons will be prorated for those who begin lessons later in the year. 

Late Payment – Payments received after the 1^st of the month may be assessed a $10 late fee. 

Summer Lessons – Summer lesson details are announced near the end of the school year. 

Attendance – Consistent attendance is very important.  Please remember that your lesson time is reserved for you whether you are present or not. 

No tuition credits or make-up lessons are given, however, if I have an opening in my schedule, I am happy to make up a lesson when requested. 

Referrals – Your referrals are appreciated!  When you refer a student and they begin lessons (excludes summer), you will receive a $50 credit. 

Lesson Discontinuance – A two-week notice is requested when a student discontinues lessons. Lesson fees must be paid in full through the two-week notice period.
